Mike Evans, Director of Benefits for OK Industries

Benefits and human resource professionals are constantly bombarded with information. Often, that information is confusing or overwhelming, and there is always the question, “Does the person or organization providing this information or advice have my best interests in mind or theirs?”

I have now worked for two companies who were both founding members of Employers’ Health Coalition. Much of the benefits knowledge I have accumulated over the last 17 years is directly tied to my involvement though my company’s membership in the Coalition. And, I NEVER have to worry about the information I learn through the Coalition having a slant or bias.

As THE voice of employers and business in the Fort Smith and Hot Springs markets, EHC continues to influence positive changes in employee healthcare services, negotiate reduced cost synergies through the power of group purchasing, and most importantly, improve the quality of healthcare for everyone.

Benefits design trends have come and gone, but I am very excited to be part of the Coalition as we help introduce this area and the state of Arkansas to the concept of Value-Based Healthcare Design and Purchasing. For the first time, what’s best for the employer is aligned with what’s best for the employee and the result is long-term cost savings with better quality outcomes for the employee.

EHC is recognized nationally as a leader and change agent in promoting innovative thinking, benefit plan redesign and as a champion for improving the quality of healthcare. Whether your company has 5 or 5,000 employees, you can make no better purchasing decision than to become a member of EHC!
